[Passion vs. Reason]

Passion vs. Reason

One expression is “burning calmly.” It is often used in sports games and other competitive situations. The mind is full of motivation and in a slightly excited state, but while keeping it hot, it is kept a little under control so that it does not come to the surface, and the nerves are concentrated on the workings of the brain. It is an extreme state of mind to make the most of all the abilities you have. I don’t think it is possible to maintain such a state for such a long time, as it would be very stressful.

Ultimately, I think it would be best if I could maintain this state for a long time. I admire such a person. They are cool and go forward on the path they believe in, with intense passion that seems to reflect the fire of their soul in their eyes. I wish my life could be like that.
But is there anyone who can actually do that? No one I know lives with that level of vitality and determination. Extremely passionate people may lack composure, or people with a clear head may be withdrawn, and people who are good at both may be hard to find. There may be such people among those we see and hear about on TV or in the press, but I cannot be sure because I can never know the everyday life of a celebrity after all. I am referring to people who are able to balance passion and reason on a daily basis.

I don’t think it matters if they are good at their jobs or not, if they are knowledgeable or not. Or if we think differently, or if our personalities don’t match, it ultimately doesn’t matter. I want to work with people who are motivated, even if they fail in the end. I want to work with people who are passionate about what they do.
I know that this is an ideology that tends to fall into the trap of being selective. Exclusivity increases the likelihood of going down the wrong path. However, when gathering a group of people together to accomplish something, it is extremely difficult to instill motivation in those who are not motivated from the start. It seems impossible to “motivate” by working from the outside. They have to somehow cultivate that on their own to get things started. First of all, there is “motivation.

However, it is also true that there are some types of people who are just motivated. They do not listen to the opinions of others and act according to their own feelings. Such “energetic” people are becoming less common these days, but there are still those who are unable to read the atmosphere, in the bad sense of the word, because they are unable to communicate. Passion is very good, but too much of it is also troublesome, and the world is a very difficult place to live in.
Forcing an ideology on people leads to dictatorship. Without dialogue, there is no peace. That’s why I want to achieve a balance between passion and reason. No matter how enormous my success may be, if I cannot contribute to peace, it will mean absolutely nothing to me. My power is tiny, but I don’t want to make any mistakes in the direction I go. As long as the direction is right, I will be able to contribute. My motivation, passion, knowledge, calmness, and physical ability are all for the sake of peace.

When I get excited, I can’t see everything around me!
