一日一日を丁寧に生きていきたいと思う。しかしそれはとても大変な事。忙しければ心が乱雑になってしまうし、悲しければなかなか他人を思いやることができない。かと言って忙しくない日々は時おり味気なくもあり、また悲しみが人を強くすることもある。まさに「人生に無駄なことは何一つない」ということを裏付けるかのようだ。

　大切なことは、本当に丁寧に生きたいのなら、そうできるように尽力すること。結果的に出来ようが出来まいが、神さまの御心に委ねるしかない。私の夢や希望、やりたいと思っていること等が私にとって良い事かどうかは、人間である私には分からない。できるのはあくまでも尽力することだけだ。

just for the sake of doing

　I want to live each day carefully. But that is a very hard thing to do. If we are busy, our minds become cluttered, and if we are sad, it is difficult to be considerate of others. On the other hand, days that are not busy can sometimes be tasteless, and sadness can make us stronger. This seems to confirm that “nothing in life is wasted.

　The important thing is that if you really want to live carefully, you must make an effort to do so. Whether we can do so as a result or not, we have to leave it to God’s will. As a human being, I do not know if my dreams, hopes, and desires are good for me or not. All I can do is to make an effort.
