[Time Flies Like an Arrow]

Time Flies Like an Arrow

There are times when you suddenly remember an event that happened a long time ago, and the more you recall it, the more vivid and real it becomes. Sometimes it was decades ago, but the image comes back to you vividly as if it were exactly yesterday.
At first, I feel nostalgic, thinking, “Oh, that happened once,” but gradually I begin to feel incredulous, wondering how many decades have really passed since then. It is as if time has passed without my knowing and I have grown old. Or I feel as if someone has stolen my time, and suddenly I feel an intense feeling of impatience. What have I been doing all this time?

Time flies when you are living a busy, hard life, with no time to look back. In a sense, that might be called a happy life. But then, have I cherished each and every day of my life? Have I treated the people around me with proper care? Or have I lived my life to the fullest? I find myself remembering the unnecessary but not so much the important.

I think of myself as a clumsy and unfortunate person. I know no one is perfect, but I can’t help but think that I could have done a little better. I would like to live my life without thinking like that from now on, and I will try my best to fight against my laziness, but I think I will probably continue to be like this from now on. That is not to say that I am pessimistic about the future, but rather an honest prediction. Maybe something big will happen to me that will change my life, and my environment will change dramatically, but in my heart I will continue to ask myself, “Am I living my life one thing at a time?
Not so long ago, when I suddenly remembered the past like that, I was really in a hurry. However, after such things happened again and again, my impatience gradually faded away, and I began to feel an atmosphere of resignation, saying, “There is nothing I can do if I am in a hurry. I also feel that my life was not that bad.

Perhaps it is the way we look at the past that will change the future. In other words, if the results of our consideration and examination of past events change, the way we act in the future will change. Even if you fail, get hurt, and regret what you should not have done, if you change the way you look at it and think, “I am who I am now because of that failure,” your life will change. You can change your past.
Of course, life is not that simple. It is a complex mixture of various factors. But because it is so difficult and we almost lose our way, I want to think simply. I am especially prone to overthinking, for better or worse, so when I get stuck, I keep it simple. I think the most important thing is to truly realize the grace that life is given to us today. Whenever I get lost, I go back to the starting point of “I am forgiven and alive today,” and start over again. That’s all you need to do.

It all happens so fast, doesn’t it?
