痛風[Gout]

Gout

My gout symptoms have come up again. It’s already been more than a month since I started taking a break from swimming school because I was afraid of corona infection. I haven’t been able to go for a run, and I’m obviously not getting enough exercise. I’ve been controlling my food intake and haven’t gained that much weight, but it might be because I don’t sweat as much and don’t drink as much water anymore. Up until a month ago, I used to force myself to drink a lot of water when I came home from swimming. Lack of exercise and water. It’s frustrating because I’ve been paying attention to this for the past few years.

What was disappointing was that in just one month, my health had deteriorated to the point where I was limping. When I am walking and put my weight on my left foot, I feel a severe pain on the outside of the back of my left foot. I don’t need a cane yet, but stairs are already quite difficult for me. Gout is a disease where the pain comes on suddenly, but it becomes apparent when the uric acid level in the blood gradually rises to the limit. In other words, it is a disease that develops due to the accumulation of problems in one’s daily diet and lifestyle.
Although I was feeling a little tired until a little while ago, my health was rather good, so this decline is a little difficult to accept. Maintaining a “good condition” requires a certain amount of continuous effort, and for someone like me who is a three-day person, I was doing well. It took me only a month to ruin it. All I had to do was to get back on track and start again from scratch, but I could not help but feel depressed.
I think I need at least three months of training to get my body back to normal. I know that, but I’m responsible for stopping swimming. Well, I guess I can get away with it if I think of it as my usual bad habit of slacking off. Spring is just around the corner, and I’m going to try again. I don’t want to blame it only on Corona.

The question was whether I could handle my important work as a photographer right after the first day of the week. Will I be able to handle the work that requires me to move quickly while dragging my feet? I have to take snapshots for two days, Monday and Tuesday, although the time for each is short. I took the only remaining gout medicine I had left, drank enough water to make my stomach swell, and watched my progress closely. Excessive nutritional intake is counterproductive to this disease. I’m getting impatient and I don’t feel like I’ve rested at all even though it’s the weekend.

By the way, the day after I had my second corona vaccination, I had to go on an overnight business trip to a distant place for a photo shoot. I didn’t have any adverse reactions, so I was OK, but it was a dangerous bridge. I remember that I was very relieved to be able to come back safely. I don’t work as a photographer that often throughout the year, but for some reason I find myself in such a pinch. I can’t really say this to my clients, but secretly I’m always on the edge of my seat, walking a tightrope.
I’m not getting any younger, so I have to take care of my health, and if I can’t move anymore, I won’t be able to do my business anymore. Once I get out of this pinch, I’ll aim to get back to living a life that values my daily life.

The pain! Please let it go away somehow!
