[Cheeky Way of Writing]

Cheeky Way of Writing

When I try to write my own interpretation of events and things, I basically want to end my sentences with “I think” (in Japanese). I do not want to write as if I am an expert on the truth of all things. I don’t think there is anything in this world that I can say for sure. I want to be a person who can know “I don’t know.
However, I can’t end every sentence the same way, so I try to be careful not to make sentences monotonous by weaving in expressions such as “I wonder if it is,” “it might be,” and “It would be. Whether that works or not is for the reader to decide, so I just do my best.

For those non-technical writing reasons, I sometimes end sentences with a declarative form (in Japanese). I say I don’t want to write like a know-it-all, but when there is something I want to emphasize or something I believe or want to believe, I tend to write in a definitive way. I do this even though I know it is not a good thing to do, and in fact, I may have a very strong desire for approval. Deep down, I wonder if I think I know everything.

I have written in this blog that each of us should have independent thoughts. (I should have added “I think,” but I won’t get into that for now.) “Independence,” as I see it, does not mean that one should be able to think and overcome or achieve anything on one’s own.
Rather, the opposite is true: “Human beings cannot live alone, and each of us is also imperfect. I believe that each one of us should realize this, and in a humble sense, we should put aside our pride and awaken to the fact that we can live while helping each other”. This is my “to be independent.

I wrote this boldly today in the heat of the moment. I feel that the assertive form has gone a bit too far again. But sometimes I really want to make a statement. I have been thinking about a question that I have been struggling with for a long time, and I feel a new feeling of “This must be so! I feel elated and bullish when a new idea falls into my heart as if it came down from the heavens.
It happens again. For my part, I wish it would happen more often, because I want to get as close to the truth as possible. But I am a simple person, and if it happens too often, I might make a cheeky mistake. I want to always have the courage to doubt, even when I think, “This is it! I want to remain humble. No one should become a god.

Maybe I have a strong need for approval.
